How to solve the S.err on the E5CC (and other TC controllers).

Modified on Thu, 31 Oct, 2024 at 1:35 PM

One of the most common mistakes is that the customer is using a 2 wire PT100, this results in a S.Err.

This is easily solved by connect the 2 wires of the PT100 to terminals 4-5 and add a wire (bridge) between terminal 5-6.

And the input type (parameter IN-T) needs to be changed from TC K (5) (factory default) to PT(0-2)

This is explained in detail in the quick start (quick starts added in this article are in English and Dutch). See for more languages the website.

For thermocouple inputs, it could be that the customer switched the wires on terminals 5(-s) and 6(+), or the wrong input type has been selected.

PS: This works for all our TC controllers, only check for the right terminals numbers as these may vary per temperature controller.
