How to read MAC Address of NJ/NX Controller

In this publication, it is explained how to read the MAC addresses and serial numbers of the Built-in Ethernet IP ports on NJ/NX controllers. It is possible to read  their own MAC address by using a CIP command, or the IP and other information, either.


The “CIPUCMMSend” instruction is used for reading MAC address of Sysmac Controllers. CIPUCMMSend sends a UCMM CIP message to a specified device on a CIP network.



An example of the program is as follows:



The MACaddress information is stored in the RespServiceDat input variable. (MAC_Address)
